Welcome to Mrs. Quilley's Classroom
I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. After high school, I left for a few years to go to a post-secondary school in Kingston, Ontario; however, the mountains were calling me back, so soon after graduation, I returned to Calgary. My previous career was in computer programming where I would program the control systems for various oil and gas companies. After I had my first child, I decided I wanted to go back to school for Criminology and then Education (as you can see I’m a lifelong learner). I've recently finished pursuing my Masters of Education specializing in Mathematics, at Western Univ.

I'm an educator who believes student-centred classrooms based on collaborative inquiry, project-based learning, involving technology and critical thinking is imperative. In the classroom we explore mathematics through nature, coding, and the Engineering Design Process.

When I’m not teaching, I’m in the mountains enjoying the outdoor life. I have always enjoyed mountain biking, hiking, cross-country skiing. This year I decided to try bike packing and I’m absolutely loving it!
